Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for your next opportunity with a leading commercial vehicle dealership? Greenhous DAF Tamworth is looking for a skilled and motivated technician to join our growing workshop team.

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles to the highest industry standards. Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers’ fleets safe, reliable, and on the road.

Salary: OTE £50,000 per annum

Hours: Rotating shifts, i.e. 45 hours per week, 30-minute lunch (unpaid).

• A) 06.00 am to 03.30 pm

• B) 09.00 am to 06.30 pm

• Plus DAFaid calls out (on a rota basis)

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles, adhering to the rigorous quality standards established by DAF and the Commercial Motor Industry both on site at the workshop and DAF aid call outs.

• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.

• Repair and replace vehicle components as required.

• Complete all work in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.

• Accurately complete job cards and service records.

• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.

• Relevant qualifications in heavy vehicle maintenance, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.

• A positive attitude and strong team ethic.
